There is a great
debate on whether hell is forever. However, those that make this claim
have never read Revelation 20:14 for hell is thrown into the lake of
fire. So then they quickly claim, the lake of fire is forever. The lake
of fire is the second Death. Do you know the definition of "Death?" More
specifically the second Death? Let's take a look at these two Deaths.
Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body,
but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able
to destroy both soul and body in hell.
The death of the flesh is the 1st death. The death of the soul and
spirit is the 2nd Death. Christ telling you do not fear him which
can kill the flesh for they cannot kill the soul. Only God can destroy
the soul.
Revelation 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what
the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that over cometh shall not be
hurt of the second Death.
Yes, this was written to all the churches and specifically written here
to the church of Smyrna. Does it say you shall not be hurt of the "first
death?" Why specify the second death?
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part
in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but
they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a
thousand years.
These that overcame Death by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the
lake of fire. This is the second death
Here you have it. Hell is not eternal. It is cast into the lake of fire.
Come out of the traditions of man and get into your Father's word, line
by line. For those of you that try to redefine the word death here is
the Greek with Strong's numbering.
Revelation 20:14 . thanatos:G2288 . haides:G86 . ballo:G906 eis:G1519 .
limne:G3041 . pur:G4442 houtos:G3778 . . deuteros:G1208 thanatos:G2288
2288. thanatos, than'-at-os; from G2348; (prop. an adj. used as a noun)
death (lit. or fig.):--X deadly, (be . . .) death.
That's right the second death is the death of the soul. Gone, blotted
out as if it never existed.
Just as upon repentance your sins are blotted out. Acts 3:19 They are
forgotten as if they never existed. So are those that never came to
repentance He will remember no them more. Isaiah 43:25
Only thoses that overcome will not be blotted out of the book of life.
In Revelation 3:5 What does this word Blot mean in the Greek ? Lets Take
a look!
1813. exaleipho, ex-al-i'-fo; from G1537 and G218; to smear out, i.e.
obliterate (erase tears, fig. pardon sin):--blot out, wipe away.
That's a good word "obliterate!"
Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be
clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the
book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before
his angels.
God will blot out those that do not overcome.
However for those that do
overcome.
Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from
their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor
crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are
PASSED AWAY.
Revelation
21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and
murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all
liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and
brimstone: which is the second DEATH.
Death is to be done away with, blotted out, you never existed in the
mind, their gone forever only their smoke rises forever and ever.
Revelation 19:3 And again they said, Alleluia. And her
smoke rose up for ever and ever.
Now let us put the nail in the coffin on this deception. Let us take a
look at what happens to satan:
Ezekiel 28:18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the
multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick;
therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall
devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight
of all them that behold thee.
satan is brought to ashes, " Gone " blotted out which is forever and
ever. Children, do not let them confuse you. They will tell you hell is
forever, then when you show them Revelation 20:14 showing hell is cast
into the lake of fire, they will tell you the lake of fire is forever.
Then when you show them the "second death" they will try and give you
another meaning to the word "death!" So I ask you, do you not know what
the word "death" means? Gone, blotted out, as if they never existed, and
finally brought to ashes and only the smoke of their torment rises
forever. any thing that offended God will not be there anymore.
Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:
for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was
no more sea.
No more sea of fire. There will be no more lake of fire, Now they will
quickly point out this one verse. Let's take a look in Revelation 20:10
Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was
cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false
prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Now many will use Revelation 20:10 to point out that they still exist in
torment for ever and ever,
but read Revelation
14:11. What is this torment forever and ever.
Revelation 14:11 And the smoke of their torment
ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who
worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his
name.
It is the smoke that rises forever and ever, the smoke of their torment.
And to finalize.
Who is our resting place? Christ is our resting place. They are without
rest, because they are without Christ.
Hebrews 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the
people of God.
Hebrews
4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased
from his own works, as God did from his.
Christ is our resting place. He is our Sabbath. Sabbath means rest. So
know that our Father does not want to hear the souls crying out forever
and ever in torment. There time is over. They are blotted out. He gave
everyone the chance to come to repentance. They choose to be blotted
out! Gone as if they never existed and they will be remember no more.
