Many people can quote this scripture, but they have no concept as to its meaning. What is the subject and object of John 3:15-18. On that day of judgment many of God's children will perish because of the second death of their soul. this means to be Blotted out of the Book of Life. Lets break this down in words, so that a person can understand the Conditions that is required by Christ.

This condition action required on their part of a person is to prevent his or her soul from perishing, that his or her soul must. " believeth in him "  and repent to The one that you believe in, is Christ. All those that believe in Christ shall not be turned to ashes at judgment day, but shall have everlasting life. The word " everlasting" is better translated from the Greek text, " eternal " because eternal means "from the very beginning of creation of that soul, into the eons of infinity of time, there is no break period.

In other Words, We are made up of the flesh, spirit soul. Christ paid the price so that the person soul would not die, but will live from the time that their soul was created in that first earth age, until the third age of time. So where did your soul come from ?  Well it come from God. What ever your age is now, that's how long you have been away from God. For we all came from God in the beginning.

The world is the dwelling place of children
The word begotten means " to beget "  to become the father of ''
Whosoever means " who will come to him''
Believeth means " commit to trust " or  " thru faith in trust in Christ "
Perish means  " to be destroyed "  or  " to die a violent death of the soul "

The word " everlasting " as used in John 3:16 lets go to Strong's Greek dictionary,

Strong's Ref. # 166 Romanized  aionios
Pronounced ahee-o'-nee-os from GSN0165; perpetual (also used of past time, or past and future as well                                      KJV--eternal, for ever, everlasting, world (began).

We find, "Aion", "Perpetual, of past time, present and future, eternal, from beginning without end." If you believe on Christ, then you will never see nor taste of death, even when your soul sheds this decaying flesh body. There will be no soul sleep, For the evil people will be gone forever out of the present site of the Godhead in the third age of time.

Read the verses very careful and listen to the Words of Christ. It is God's will that none of the children will perish in judgment, But thru Christ and repentance of thy soul we should believe in him to have Eternal Life with the Master

John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

If you believe in him and try to be pleasing to him, then you can have eternal life. This word perish means to be blotted out of the book of life. Where is this book of life at. We are told that the entire Godhead made a every lasting covenant in Jerusalem. This is where God's Thrown will be for ever. So where God is. So shall we be there too. We believe in Christ the lord. and they would be given life by their believing and obeying,  Jesus is telling us that this is exactly as it is with eternal life. The cross that Jesus shed His blood on, and when we look to Him and accept that shed blood for our forgiveness, through repentance, then we have eternal life. He loves you so much, but he might not love what your doing behind closed doors.

Strong's Ref. # 622 Romanized  apollumi
Pronounced ap-ol'-loo-meerom GSN0575 and the base of GSN3639; to destroy fully (reflexively, to perish, or lose), literally or figuratively: KJV--destroy, die, lose, mar, perish.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

There is a condition here on your part. "Whosoever" means anyone that repents of their evil spirit that is with in them can go to the lord and obtained forgiveness thru him. Understand a murder or a rapist cannot have forgiveness here in the flesh because of their crimes. that's just the way it works.

Strong's Ref. # 4100 Romanized  pisteuo
Pronounced pist-yoo'-o from GSN4102; to have faith (in, upon, or with respect to, a person or thing), i.e. credit; by implication, to entrust (especially one's spiritual well-being to Christ): KJV--believe(-r), commit (to trust), put in trust with.

John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

From Father to son, Salvation was open to all who would go to him in thru repentance to be saved.

John 3:18
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

If you don't have eternal life, then you are already condemn and sentenced to perish. Either you believe, or you do not believe. God's gracious purpose is our salvation and not our condemnation. He leaves that choice up to us.
